3xScreen Teams up with Cherryduck for the Stylist 24 Hour Challenge

London based production company Cherryduck called on 3xScreen media to help them produce and live stream the Stylist 24 Hour Challenge. The challenge for stylist magazine was to write, shoot and edit an entire issue of the mag in a single 24 hour period- and 3xScreen was there the whole time capturing every moment.

Unsurprisingly, there is so much more that can be said about this enormous project – check out highlight reels from the event and read the entire blog post here

Client: Cherryduck Productions & Stylist Magazine

Brief: A multi-camera, multi-location production including live crosses to remote locations as well as on site from the Stylist Magazine pop-up office in Regent’s Place. The camera feeds to supply vision for three, non-stop simultaneous 24-hour live streams.

3xScreen provided an innovative and diverse solution for such a complex brief.

The solution consisted of three roaming EX3s including one steadycam, three remotely driven Sony BRC H700 Robotic Cameras, three GoPro Hero 3’s mounted in various locations around the pop-up office, another GoPro mounted in a road-tripping Ford Fiesta which sent its feed back to the production team via a LiveU LU40 and finally two iPhone 5s equipped with the new LU Smart App pushing the boundaries of live streaming technology. The most innovative aspect of this live stream was made possible with this revolutionary new app. It was used to send a video feed of the lights of London from the top of the Heron Tower and also from the “doggie-cam” mounted on the back of the office dog.
