For the third year running, London hosted the YouTube Summer in the City. It was also the second year that 3xScreen Media was called on to produce and live stream the event so those watching at home could join in on the action and even interact through social media.
The venue, Alexandra Palace, was a large area to cover but with our extensive camera kit and the clever use of a jib, we were able to deliver the extensive coverage and production values we are known for.

Brief: To provide a multi camera production and live stream of the 3rd annual Summer in the City. Including live audience interaction via social media including Twitter and Facebook.
Not being strangers to events of this scale, 3xScreen arrived with a kit and crew ready to tackle this challenging brief. The 3xScreen OB truck is equipped with all the production kit necessary: cameras, tripods, jibs, cabling, a mobile production pod including a Tricaster 855.
For the live streaming, the LiveU LU70 was onsite with its bonded mobile capabilities, sending a strong and steady program stream back to the 3xScreen MCR where we encoded and pushed the stream to various publish points including YouTube, so tens of thousands could view the event from all over the globe.
