Scootfest

August saw the 3xScreen crew head up to Warwickshire in the midlands to produce and live stream Scootfest, the world’s largest Scooter competition.

Read more about the production here.   Client: Scootfest Brief: To produce a multi camera mix and live stream Scootfest including footage from a flying Dactylcam rig. Feeling confident in our ability to produce a sporting event like this after our experience with the UCI BMX world cup and various skate competitions for Vans, we wanted to push the envelope a bit further. With manned and unmanned Sony EX3’s positioned around the ramps, we were able to get some great angles from the tops of the ramps amongst the competitors as well as other precarious places by mounting GoPros. The real star of this production was the DactylCam Rig we had purchased. We arrived early to mount the zip wire above the ramp so it could fly above the riders below. The DactylCam was fitted with a GoPro Hero3, with the signal being sent back to our TriCaster 855 by a Teradek Bolt wireless transmitter.
